About Me

My name is Stephen Dixon and I’m currently a junior at Furman University. Ever since I was a young child, I’ve had  an interest in professional and college sports. I love the environment and anticipation that comes with attending and watching a live sporting event.

When I was a senior in high school, I came to the realization that I would never be talented enough to compete at a college or pro level. Therefore, I decided that sports media was my ticket to the career I’ve always wanted. Over the past three years, I’ve worked endlessly to become a better writer and broadcaster. I had internships at Tennis Channel and ESPN Radio and I currently work as a runner for FOX Sports during their NFL broadcasts in Atlanta or Charlotte.

I’m still a long way from where I want to be, a contributor of a major sports media  outlet. I hope Digital Communication can help me prepare to compete in a very competitive field where only the best in the digital field succeed.

This blog will tell the stories of my journey as an aspiring sportswriter, radio host and television host.
